You can also get digital manuals for nearly every machine made as well. Domestic machines up to the 80s are gold. Made for making everything from curtains to clothes.
I wouldn't touch a Singer made after they sold up.

Just to add...
Regarding repairs I took a part from my 1980s Janome into a sewing shop just yesterday as I needed a tiny screw. Walked out with a new spare part and screws- all for about 2 euro. If it comes with the wee manual and protective case even better! Older machines tend to be built far better.

I had to repair mine last week.
My big toe wears a patch on the inside of the shoe where I have the patch placed.
Tenacious tape is excellent.
A bit like surgery😋

I'm for seam sealer as well.
And maybe a wee patch of tenacious tape/piece of nylon (if you have some ) over the top for extra durability.

If this last for 5 Years, I‘ve no „fear“ anymore, that my Torrid Jacket also last this long!
Wear it and enjoy it! The Apex inside will collapse much quicker most likely than the nylon on the outside.
I wear one over an Alpha 120 hoody most of the time when sitting around...it is nicely toasty.

Ich meinte eigentlich ob der Stoff auf Dauer Schaden nimmt weil er so dünn ist. Anfänglich habe ich überlegt ob 7D außen nicht zu dünn ist. Allerdings trage ich solch "dicke" Jacken ja nie zum wandern. Dann fragte ich mich wie das wohl innen ist, wahrscheinlich scheuert man sich eher den Stoff innen auf als außen. Deswegen die Frage
Should be fine. I own two wind hoodies and pants made in much the same 7D, all are over five years old with much use and all are fine.
Snagging the fabric on sharp objects/tree branches (perhaps a torn finger nail?) is the only issue-as it would also be on 10D.
Inside a jacket would be no issue. It's much harder to tear and put a hole in it than you might think. It is also more wind and moisture permeable though than the 10D-quite a bit more.

I reckon the baseball cap alone-type sun protection that I tend to see US walkers doing is asking for trouble in the long run, should anyone be tempted.
The tops of the ears especially facing upwards get a belting and solar keratoses removed from there are painful.
Einfach ein Buff quer legen und längsseits unter das Cap ziehen.
So entsteht ein luftiges Wüsten-Cap, das auch die Ohren schützt (ich wurde schon 3× an der oberen Helix an einem Ohr operiert und achte sehr darauf, denn beim nächsten Mal wäre es dann keine kleine OP mehr).
Ich war total glücklich, einen Sonnenhut mit ausreichender Krempe für 38 g zu finden... Caps stehen mir sowieso nicht außer dem uh Aggies-Cap.

Hat jemand "Langzeiterfahrung" zur Plancklite und kann mal schreiben, in welcher Klamottenkombination sie eingesetzt wird und bis zu welchen Temperaturen sie bei ihm/ihr funktioniert ? Im Zweifel würde ich lieber zur Primelite tendieren.

No comparison in regard to warmth-The Primelite is far warmer.
I would (probably) think of the Planklite as a 60 (maybe 80? ) weight alpha fleece hoody (that you probably would be carrying anyway) with something like an Argon 49/7D or 67/10D hoody over the top.
I also owned a Climalite for a while that I liked very much but, the advantage of the Primelite is it's packability and ability to take a squashing and rebound time and again.
