Und noch ein Projekt: Ein Rucksack für meine Frau, die auch mit auf den PCT kommen möchte. Zwar nicht ganz schnell oder leicht, aber Rucksäcke habe ich ja schon einige detailliert vorgestellt:
Ist ein Nachbau von ihrem geliebten Fährmann-Rucksack, der schon Jahrzehnte auf dem Buckel hat und leer über 2kg wiegt. Nun jedoch mit Rolltop statt Deckeltasche und auch ohne separates Schlafsackfach.
Neues Gewicht incl. CFK-Rahmen in den schwarzen Dyneema Gurtbändern: 420g
Hi Christian, I like the look of that fabulous Berry Rucki you made very much. I'm guessing it's the Ultragrid as I saw your other one in the 'Blackout' colour?
Which carbon fib re rods did you use if I can ask please?
What weight do you think your partner will want as a 'comfortable maximum' in the Rucki?
I also tried to buy some of the Ultragrid in Chilli Red colour to try it ....and was very disappointed when I was sent the wrong thing.

Vielleicht sogar nur ne andere Farbe. Der graue ist top. Die Kapuze aber etwas größer. Aber das wäre ja für die meisten nur ne kleine Änderung an der Nähmaschine.
It's made from 'Teddy' fleece-the same stuff you can buy cheaply (very, very cheaply compared to alpha) for making Teddy bears, fluffy toys etc.
Much denser pile than alpha and so quite a bit warmer. Still quite compressible and durable.
Really nice stuff though, if you want that warmth. I like it but, for the weight.

If you want to make something like this the material doesn't have to be expensive nor permeable. Just permanently waterpoof.
Maybe you could try some silnylon?

I basically never leave home without this 'Skirlt' (no split/no overlap) -for both trail running and walking that wei ghs 23 grams and nicely covers my shorts:
It's about 5 degrees in the picture above.
In cool dry times, sitting around, I will put it on for some warmth.
I also have pants made from the same fabric. They wei gh 50 grams. Work perfectly to keep the rain and wind off.

Heiho Leute,
reißerische Überschrift, aber ich bin sehr kurz davor mir das X-Mid 2 direkt bei durston zu holen (cooler Service mit dem Tax included). Gibt es irgendwas an dem Zelt auszusetzen?
Ich hatte bis jetzt ein Lanshan 2 Pro und habe das auf dem letzten Trail einem älterem Mann überlassen dessen Zelt bei der französischen Post hängen geblieben ist.Was ich möchte:
- 2 Lagen, weil einlagig zusammenlegen war immer eine Katastrophe: dann war alles komplett nass
- Platz für 2 Personen
- Einfach aufzubauen
- Stabil
- unter 1kgAlso haltet mich davon ab. Gibt es was besseres? Leichteres? In der Preisklasse. Oder sagen doch wieder alle: nimm ein Tarp
